Celebrating the Spirit of Tradition, Togetherness and Joy
Talla Padmavathi Olympiad School celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm, bringing together the innocence, creativity, and joyful spirit of our Pre-Primary and Primary students.
The celebration was graced by the presence of our Director, Mrs. Dr. Talla Chaithanya, whose presence added warmth and inspiration to the occasion.
The school campus came alive with the beautiful colours and traditions of Kerala as our young students dressed in traditional attire inspired by the Onam festival. Their colourful outfits created a festive atmosphere and gave children an opportunity to experience and appreciate the rich cultural heritage associated with Onam.
Creating the Beauty of Pookalam
One of the highlights of the celebration was the creation of beautiful Pookalams (floral rangolis). Students enthusiastically arranged colourful flowers to create attractive traditional designs.
This hands-on activity encouraged children to express their creativity, teamwork, patience, and appreciation for nature while learning about an important cultural tradition.

The Onam celebration was not just about enjoying a festival—it was also a meaningful learning experience for our young learners. Through traditional dress, floral art, and festive activities, students learned about culture, unity, sharing, happiness, and respect for different traditions.
The children participated with great excitement and thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations. Their smiles, colourful attire, and enthusiastic participation made the occasion truly memorable.
