Young Voices Celebrating the Pride of India – National Flag Day​

At Talla Padmavathi Olympiad School, learning goes beyond textbooks. We believe that every student should understand the values, history, and responsibilities that shape our nation. As part of our value-based learning initiative, our students Akshaya and Saanvika confidently delivered an inspiring presentation on National Flag Day, sharing the story and significance of the Indian National Flag.

With confidence and clarity, they explained that the Indian National Flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya, a great freedom fighter and visionary whose contribution became a symbol of India’s unity and pride. Their presentation reflected not only historical knowledge but also excellent communication and public speaking skills.

The students beautifully described the meaning of each colour of the Tiranga:

  • Saffron represents courage, sacrifice, and the spirit of selfless service.
  • White stands for peace, truth, and honesty, reminding every citizen to live with integrity.
  • Green symbolizes growth, prosperity, harmony, and our deep connection with nature.

They also explained the importance of the Ashoka Chakra, the navy-blue wheel with 24 spokes placed at the centre of the flag. The Ashoka Chakra represents righteousness, justice, continuous progress, and the importance of moving forward with determination and responsibility.

Through this presentation, Akshaya and Saanvika reminded everyone that the National Flag is much more than a symbol—it represents the dreams, sacrifices, unity, and values of our great nation. Their confident delivery demonstrated the school’s commitment to nurturing knowledgeable, responsible, and patriotic young citizens.
